Q.) A customer has just purchased a number of BL490c G6 Blades. They are concerned with the cooling, or lack of, near the memory slots, which is fully populated with 144GB RAM. Can anyone help me with this query? Is there any documentation available, or does this memory not get hot?
A.) There are specific ?memory DIMM area? temperature sensors that show actual temperatures within the Onboard Administrator GUI. Customers who have a concern can look at the Onboard Administrator, and verify that the DIMMs on each blade are being properly cooled. The GUI indicates a ?green? range of proper cooling for the server DIMMS.
