HP is pleased to announce that the HP ProLiant DL785 G5 achieves #1 virtualization performance results on the VMmark benchmark: VMmark score of 31.56 at 21 tiles or 126 virtual machines ( http://www.vmware.com/products/vmmark/results.html ).

The world record result proves the ideal suitability of the HP ProLiant DL785 G5 for virtualization and consolidation environments. Published on June 02, 2009, this benchmark was performed using VMware ESX v4.0 on HP ProLiant DL785 G5 Quad-Core AMD Opteron?  8393SE 3.1GHz; 8 sockets/32 cores/32 total threads. With this leadership result, the HP ProLiant DL785 G5 achieved the highest virtualization performance and largest number of virtual machines on an x86 server.
