Published on August 11, 2009, this benchmark was performed using VMware ESX v4.0 on HP ProLiant DL785 G6 Six-Core AMD Opteron? 8439SE 2.8GHz; 8 sockets/48 cores/48 threads.
With this leadership result, the HP ProLiant DL785 G6 achieved the highest virtualization performance and largest number of virtual machines on an x86 server. HP ProLiant G6 servers now holds #1 VMmark result for servers with 8 processors / 48 cores, 4 processors / 24 cores and 2 processors / 8 cores.
HP was first to cross the 30 score barrier of VMmark benchmark and now we are the first to surpass the 40 score mark.
