HP ProLiant DL785 G6 beats nearest competitors by more than 40% in virtualization performance with latest VMmark benchmark result

The world record result proves the ideal suitability of the HP ProLiant DL785 G6 for virtualization and consolidation environments. Published on August 11, 2009, this benchmark was performed using VMware ESX v4.0 on HP ProLiant DL785 G6 Six-Core AMD Opteron? 8439SE 2.8GHz; 8 sockets/48 cores/48 threads.

 

With this leadership result, the HP ProLiant DL785 G6 achieved the highest virtualization performance and largest number of virtual machines on an x86 server. HP ProLiant G6 servers now holds #1 VMmark result for servers with 8 processors / 48 cores, 4 processors / 24 cores and 2 processors / 8 cores.

 

HP was first to cross the 30 score barrier of VMmark benchmark and now we are the first to surpass the 40 score mark.
