New Solid State Disk Drives (SSDs) for HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Arrays

On November 15, HP introduced both 200GB and 400GB SSDs for the EVA4400/6400/8400. At the same time, they added support for RAID 1 configurations for all SSDs, including the existing 72GB SSD.

These new SSDs will be supported in the same configurations as the existing fibre channel hard disk drives and are priced very competitively. The EVA must be running XCS 09534000 and array must contain a minimum of 6 SSDs or a maximum of 8.
