Q.) A partner student asked a question around a P812 Smart Array Controller Card which has 4 ports. They were asking how many D2600 enclosures could they chain to a single port? Could they chain 8 D2600 enclosures to a single port?
A.) The P812 Smart Array controller has a total of 24 SAS ports, 8 internal and 16 external, and can support up to a maximum of 108 disk drives. The D2600 supports cascading of up to 4 disk enclosures on one 4x connection. Please refer to the QuickSpecs for further information:
