With the release of the HP Proliant Gen9 hardware there are some major enhancements and changes specific on the storage subsystem.
I think of 12Gb SAS connectivity, AROC controllers, SSD SMart Path, Secure Encryption, Smart Array controllers and HBA’s, new SAS expanders and a new Smart Battery for the FBWC on the controllers.
Certainly read through the family data sheet, the FAQ and the (not so technical) Technical white paper, rest of the documents are reference material.
